Dead End? - book review - word-on-the-web

So what is it about?	It is a practical workbook to help young people understand the issue of death from a Christian perspective.
Who is it for?	Youth leaders who need ideas for sessions with their youth groups.
Does it do what it says on the label?	Dead End? is a guide for youth leaders on how to run ten sessions about death. It does this more than adequately. There is more material, and more ideas for activities than can be fitted into each session - meaning that the youth leader can pick and choose.
Enjoy or endure?	Surprisingly, considering the subject matter, there is a lot of humour and a lightness of touch in this book - which is needed. At the start, there is a questionnaire on death to be filled out by each youth group member so that the leaders can deal with the issue sensitively. This is a subject that isn't talked about as much as it should be and this book helps to redress the balance.
Any other comments?	The last time I reviewed a workbook produced by CPAS I ended up wishing I still led a youth group so that I could use the sessions. This book left me feeling exactly the same!
