Track List - Disk Two 1. Thank You - The Katinas |
| Describe it in 20 words | A double CD compilation of previously released studio-recorded tracks with a worshipful flavour, from various Contemporary Christian Music artists. |
| Big Themes/Standout Tracks | This is quite a mixed bag, which is not surprising considering the tracks come from more than 20 artists. However, two tracks immediately stand out: the catchy Treasure by Tree63, and The Way by Telecast, which sounds uncannily like Tim and Neil Finn of Crowded House and the Finn Brothers. |
| Anything that lets it down | While there are some good individual tracks
on this album, I feel it is the
concept that lets it down. Anyone who goes into their local Christian
bookshop and buys a 2CD album called Absolute Worship, may feel disappointed
when they get home and start playing it. Many of the albums that these
tracks are taken from are not "worship" albums, per se - this
is largely a
collection of Contemporary Christian Music tracks. Also, I don't understand
why the last two or three tracks on each of the CDs are called Bonus Cuts. Why are they Bonus Cuts when they are in exactly the same vein as the other tracks on the album and fit very comfortably within the running times of the CDs? |
| Who it sounds like | As with many compilation albums, it's best just to list some of the artists on it rather than who they sound like: Big Daddy Weave; BarlowGirl; Ten Shekel Shirt; Telecast; Enter the Worship Circle; Tree63; and more. |
