| Describe it in 20 words | Debut pop/rock album from three sisters on a mission - Rebecca Barlow (guitar), Alyssa Barlow (bass) and Lauren Barlow (drums). |
| Big Themes/Standout Tracks | These three sisters definitely take their faith seriously, and their lyrics are challenging in a world where young (and old!) Christians are tempted to compromise. "Average Girl" is a song about celibacy outside of marriage, and packs an emotional punch. "She Walked Away" is a moving tale of a runaway girl. |
| Anything that lets it down | It's well produced. The three sisters' devotion to God and spiritual purity shines through in the words. But none of the songs are particularly different or memorable. I have heard many other bands do music like this. The only thing that makes Barlow Girl different is the lyrical content. |
| Who it sounds like | Guitar-based pop/rock in the vein of Busted, but with female vocals. Also, think of Avril Lavigne and Rebecca St James. |
| Rating | *** Good effort |
