One small step - Bottlerockit

Track List 1. Pumpkin Girl |

| Describe it in 20 words | Big loud guitar rock, but is it a Christian album? |
| Big Themes/Standout Tracks | Fun songs,
songs about relationships, songs to mosh to. Its all very well
done with plenty to make it deserve to be heard. Just one problem
- I don't have the first clue why this has been produced by a Christian
company? One song of the 11 here gives God a mention with the
lines "I admit it, I've found God, but I am on my own, I really
like you, but I can't tell you, over the phone, and now you've found me,
won't you take me home, and I'll be yours". Not quite the
lifestyle you might hope for. Its not that this is a bad set of songs, but should a Christian charity really be putting its effort into a band no secular company could have any problems with? Maybe they have a great schools ministry? But what is distinctly Christian here? - answers on a postcard/email if you can enlighten us. |
