Major Christian event supports Church Army's word-on-the-web

word-on-the-web’s New to Christianity course has been endorsed by Ultimate Events, the brainchild behind The Ultimate Event, the yearly fun day Christian concert at Alton Towers. The endorsement is the first of its kind for UK based word-on-the-web which sends out an inspirational spirit-filled daily email to over 7,000 subscribers.

The event which takes place on Saturday 14 May 2005 will attract an estimated 12,000 people to the popular theme park Alton Towers and will feature some of today’s well known Christian music artists. There will be an opportunity for attendees to become Christians with word-on-the-web’s New to Christianity material given out to everyone who responds.

"The big hope is that there will be non-Christians at the event who will make a commitment to God", says Ruth Walker, word-on-the-web administrator. "I hope that they will use New to Christianity as a guide to help them learn more about God and enhance their Christian walk. I hope that when they use the material they will be encouraged to sign up for the word-on-the-web free daily emails and that this will be a blessing to them".

word-on-the-web’s New to Christianity course has been running for a year. It is an online course which explains more about Christianity and the Christian faith with backings from contemporary Christian music favourites chip K of thebandwithnoname and Dez Minto of yfriday.

word-on-the-web, a Church Army project, has been involved in The Ultimate Event for four consecutive years and is one of the sponsors of the event.
